It was around midnight sitting in front of the comp, surfing the net, listening to music when i noticed that the sound from my 200 dollar speakers actually sounds better than my car stereo system. Generally the com's sound reproduction would be better because of the placements of the speakers which are much easier to play around with then car speakers. But after spending so much time and not to mention money surely something more can be done to make my car stereo sound better! So i went downstairs to my car, it's was already 12.30 am by then. Started to play around with the settings. It's usually quite time consuming, so i only do it when i have freaking nothing better to do. With each new setting that i 'think' sounded better that the previous would be tested again and again to make sure it sounds really sounds better. It's never easy cause u had to make sure that the tweeters aren't too high, the vocals are warm, and the bass is just right not to heavy and not to soft. Then there's staging which my cheap system can't pull off. But the main idea is to get the voice to be in the center as possible. So i would be like switching between the new setting and then the previous setting and vice-verse again and again and again. Then i would select different genre to make sure that my setting wasn't only for one specific music. By the time i found the prefect setting, or at least i think- sometimes i think it's all in the head, it was already around 3. I also found the back speakers were out of phase. Satisfied, i went to bed. Woke up around 12 the next day, had lunch, took my meds (wasn’t feeling well for the past week) then slept like a log for another 6 hours. After dinner, my dad asked me where i popped off to last night; i replied i was playing around with my car stereo. Not buying it, he asked again, but this time pointing out that i was sleeping all day and was lethargic all the time and why on earth would i be there in wee hours. I said i was really at my car and i was not feeling well. I could tell he wasn't buying it, but in the end said u better not be doing anything stupid. That was one weird conversation. After that i thought nothing of it. A few days later when i up in bukit tinggi after dinner everyone was back in the hotel and i decided to do a little sightseeing of my own to cleanse my eyes before going back to the dreadful testosterone filled uni, the view was quite good. When i got back my dad asked where i went, for a walk i said, then i heard my mom jokingly told my dad something about me going to find transvestites. Then it struck me, all that interrogating that went on days before was about transvestites. ME and TRANSVESTITES, TRANSVESTITES and ME. But can u blame him; the road up my house is literally filled with them plying their trade at night every night. No wonder he was in serious dad mode that day. The expression on his face was priceless. I seriously don't know what gave him the idea. Maybe the fact I’m single doesn't really ease my dad's worries does it? But seriously dad, chicks with d*cks?! Eeew.
Othertimes when i nothing freakin better to do i blog, i think my dad would prefer i blog too..
